The Parents’ Association held a Tree Lighting Ceremony Thursday 5th December 2024 from 6.30pm to 8pm. Fr. Wojciech blessed the Christmas tree before it was officially turned on. All the children sang Hymns and Carols around the tree after a visit from Santa who just happened to be passing the school. Then everyone enjoyed cakes, hot chocolates, teas, coffees and a Christmas Raffle in the hall. Thank you to everyone who made this a most enjoyable and successful event.

We had a lovely Wednesday during Catholic Schools Week this year.
The children, staff, parents and especially the Grandparents attended Mass in Kiltale Church for 10am Mass.
Then they all returned to the school for refreshments provided by our Parents’ Association and all classes brought in treats to be shared with our guests.
The children especially enjoyed the grandparents visiting them in their classrooms where they showed them their work and some grandparents shared stories of their time in school.

During the assembly we saw the entries for the following competitions:-
A piece of writing titled, ‘My Covid Lockdown Experience’, recounting your adventures, thoughts, feelings and reflections since the school closed.
A song and/or a dance on something about your world. You can record yourself playing the song or doing the dance on your own or remotely with other students.
‘Junk Art Creature’ competition – We asked you to create a creature made from recycled or/and upcycled materials around the home, it could be imaginary or real, and we asked for a photo of the creature with its name and a brief biography e.g.: where it/he/she came from; what it eats; natural habitat; favourite activities; and common behaviours.
Everybody who took part is a winner and will be receiving a prize!

The village has lots of families all living with the Corona Virus, teachers, shopkeepers, priests, and children. The girls had great fun making them and playing with them!

Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony 5th December 2024
/in News /by SecretaryThe Parents’ Association held a Tree Lighting Ceremony Thursday 5th December 2024 from 6.30pm to 8pm. Fr. Wojciech blessed the Christmas tree before it was officially turned on. All the children sang Hymns and Carols around the tree after a visit from Santa who just happened to be passing the school. Then everyone enjoyed cakes, hot chocolates, teas, coffees and a Christmas Raffle in the hall. Thank you to everyone who made this a most enjoyable and successful event.

/in News /by SecretaryWe had a lovely Wednesday during Catholic Schools Week this year.
The children, staff, parents and especially the Grandparents attended Mass in Kiltale Church for 10am Mass.
Then they all returned to the school for refreshments provided by our Parents’ Association and all classes brought in treats to be shared with our guests.
The children especially enjoyed the grandparents visiting them in their classrooms where they showed them their work and some grandparents shared stories of their time in school.
