NextGenerationEU funded project in Kiltale NS
Kiltale NS received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and support our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU.
This funding was used to invest, upgrade and maintain our hardware and software requirements across the school network. Since 2021, we have used the digital divide grant — alongside funds raised through fundraising initiatives by our Parents’ Association– to purchase new hardware including laptops, interactive whiteboards and iPads. Numerous software programmes are used in conjunction with our interactive whiteboards, laptops and iPads including Promethean Software, Renaissance Learning, Nessy Fingers, Twinkl, Microsoft Office, etc. We also use Aladdin Connect to regularly communicate with the school community.
